BMW Motorcycle fairing parts
Commissioned by BMW Motorcycle Netherlands and in close cooperation with the Dutch government departments, we have developed fibreglass fairing parts for the BMW K1200 GT and RS.
These BMW motorcycle fairing parts offer a considerable comfort improvement and upgrade the standard BMW K1200 GT and RS to a full sport / touring motorcycle. Over 400 police motorcycles for both Police Corps and the Military Police are equipped with these special fibreglass fairing parts.
We provided BMW Motorcycle Netherlands the prototype development, Resin Transfer Moulding production moulds, pilot series and final production of the different fairing parts. By executing the production of the BMW motorcycle fairing parts in Resin Transfer Moulding technology (RTM), the high production volume could easily be achieved. This manufacturing technique also ensures the fibreglass BMW motorcycle fairing parts can be made more accurately and with a higher level of finish quality.
The design and production in fibreglass offers a number of advantages that contribute to high-quality products. As a result, fibreglass and composite are increasingly being seen in the automotive industry and more and more product designers, architects and engineers are using this material.
