Fibreglass design and manufacturing
Before making the diesel motorcycle design of the fairing parts we laser scanned the frame, engine block and wheels of the motorcycle. This gave a solid base to start of from. After this, all fibreglass parts were designed in 3D and printed in 3D.
By designing this way we were able to quickly define a final concept. After checking the fit of the various 3D printed fairing parts, the production moulds were made. We produced a small pilot run of this diesel motorcycle design in fibreglass.
In particular, the accuracy of the wall thickness’s were very important because of the mounting and connection of the fairing parts.
