Fibreglass design and manufacturing
These Yamaha FJR 1300 fairing parts offer the rider improved protection, functionality and additional comfort. We have taken care of the entire design process of these fairing parts. From the handmade prototype design and testing up to the manufacturing of the production moulds and the final production. The final production series covered around 400 pieces.
By executing the production in resin transfer moulding (RTM), the high production volume could easily be achieved. With resin transfer moulding, the total package of fibreglass matarial and other reinforcements (for example foam parts) is placed in the mould at once. The package is then covered by an upper mould. An advantage of this process is the high degree of precision and the products are smoothly finished on two sides. The final finish of the Yamaha FJR 1300 fairing parts was also an important starting point.
The design and production in fibreglass offers a number of advantages that contribute to high-quality products. As a result, fibreglass and composite are increasingly being seen in the automotive industry and more and more product designers, architects and engineers are using this material.
You can think of applications such as fibreglass; interior design desks, machine hoods, engine hoods, displays, eye catchers, blow-ups, interior wall panels, building façade panels.
Below you will find the advantages of the properties of fibreglass;
